Hello lovelies,
I’m Amy, the artist behind Petal & Portrait, a self-taught illustrator based in Staffordshire. Dog obsessed, scuba diving enthusiast, moderately nerdy, nature loving girl, deeply passionate about art, photography & everything horticultural.
Born from a love of creativity, I have always dreamt of combining my passion for art with my desire to build a business & turning that dream into a reality. Feeling inspired I began drawing illustrations in our cosy cottage in the beautiful English countryside, where I immerse myself in every element of my work.
Drawing has always been my passion, and creating live illustrations for your event brings me so much joy. We feel truly honoured to be a special part of your day, sharing in the excitement and seeing the delight on your guests’ faces as they receive their bespoke portraits. Our mission is to be the dream addition to your wedding, bringing artistry and magic to your celebration. It means the world to us to have such a meaningful and positive impact on your unforgettable day.

our story
the beginning of our lil business
Back in October 2024, Rich and I began brainstorming potential business ideas that I could pour my creativity into, and with a whole lot of love, endless late nights (and an unimaginable consumption of hot chocolate), Petal & Portrait came to life!
Throughout the Winter months, in our cosy countryside cottage, I sketched hundreds of sample illustrations, curated social media content, applied to exhibit at wedding fayres and poured my heart into every detail, and by January 2025, we officially launched!
Our mission is to capture your beautiful guests and their dreamy outfits through live, hand-drawn illustrations. With a pen in one hand and an iced caramel coffee in the other, we bring live illustration magic to weddings, parties, and all kinds of joyful gatherings across the UK (and beyond!)

Rich & my mumma both help support assist me at events and they play an essential role and crucial part of the magic behind the scenes, making sure everything runs like a dream! While I focus on illustrating, they handle setup, guest interaction, photography, logistics, and making sure each portrait is safely packed, all of which ensures I can complete as many illustrations as possible within the agreed time.
Rich has been my unwavering source of support, the foundation of my confidence, and the driving force behind my determination to pursue this dream. His belief in me has not only inspired my ambition but also given me the courage to turn this vision into reality. I couldn’t have embarked on this incredible journey without his devoted encouragement and endless motivation.
